Anyang Steel profit surges by 24%

Angang profit in H1 surges by 24% YoY

China's second biggest steelmaker Angang Steel announced that its profit in H1 of 2008 rose by 24%YoY.

Its net income in H1 of 2008 rose to CNY 5.99 billion from CNY 4.80 billion in H1 of 2007. First half revenue increased by 22.7% YoY to CNY 40.2 billion from CNY 32.74 billion in H1 of 2007.

The Anshan, Liaoning based steelmaker improved net profit margin to 14.88% in the first half, up from 14.66% last year.
