Subject: Pellet Making Plant
Dear Jane,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
Before I start to answer your questions I like to explain my situation. I am 63 years old and what they call early re-tired. Actually we live in Holland but during my active working time as (civil) project manager we lived in different countries.
Now I have the following:
- A son which is like me a civil engineer and likes to get started.
- A friend in Malaysia which has covered work area, forklifts, a transport company with tugs, barges and trailers to do land transport.
- The wish to set up a small business.
- The budget to get started.
What I do not have is experience with pellet making and for that part I need your expertise.
Questions:
1 What cap. of the pelletizing plant do you advice to start.
2 How many people to run the pellet making plant.
3 What additional equipment required for handling to raw material and the finished product.
4 Is there a binding liquid required to glue the material.
5 What about packing the finished product./costs.
6 Indication of selling price in,say Germany,Holland,Belgium.
7 Is there an operational plant in Holland or the nearest place to Holland which I can visit to get a better picture.
Answers:
1 Material will be saw dust and waist from the saw mills (young wood from the outside of the logs).bark.
2 Moister content from the raw material I do not know. Humidity 70- 80%. 3 I like to start with small plant. What standard cap. do you supply?
4Yes it has to be a complete plant.
Now you know my situation and I am looking forward to your reply.
Friendly regards,
Hubert Bartels
